HISTORY

Trafileria Lariana was founded in 1969 as a small artisanal business in Lecco, a district with a long and industrious tradition in the iron and steel sector. The company quickly gained a reputation for the high quality of its products and its ability to custom-manufacture special bars.

The new production facility in Garbagnate Monastero opened in 1976 with a fully industrial setup, progressively expanding to cover an area of 10,000 sqm. This is where all phases of the production process take place.

A new production facility opened in Sirone in 2000, including annealing plants for heat treatment of bars and coils, and a new shed for storage of semi-finished products.

In 2007 the company transferred all its production facilities from Garbagnate Monastero to a new industrial site in Barzago, installing completely new, cutting-edge production systems.

In line with the company value of respect for the environment and the local community, in 2011 we decided to install a photovoltaic array, which has allowed us to move closer to energy self-sufficiency while also advancing our environmental policy by minimizing our consumption of natural resources.

Our current production facilities, water treatment plant, warehouses, and office block are located on a 20,000-sqm site. We are proud of our industrial complex, which we have built using our own resources as we grew and developed.

TRAFILERIA LARIANA Drawing Steels is thus increasingly flexible and ready to meet the needs of a specialized, highly demanding clientele oriented toward the technology of the future.
